Popular hiking trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria. The hike begins at the fire station in Hohenwart. From there you turn west on the footpath, past the school and down into the valley. After 400 m you cross the traffic lights straight on towards the farm on the right-hand side. Passing the farm, you head towards the nearby village of Gotzendorf. After the long left curve, turn right into the village and after 100 m you will come across the Räuber-Heigl-Linde. The linden...

At the fire station, cross the main road and walk to the Hubertus chapel, as described under Ho1. This time you leave the chapel on the left and stay on the paved road to Hudlach until you come to a sharp left turn. At the end of the curve, the Ho3 mark points to the right. A beautiful forest path to Reitenberg begins here, without any major climbs. From Reitenberg there are various connection options to other hiking trails.

This route leads in a large loop through the hilly and wooded area south of Hohenwarth. The trail's name comes from the small human settlements that are passed along the trail. Aside from these locations, the trail is heavily wooded with some patches for good views of the area. There is an opportunity to visit the nearby peaks if desired.

This circular hiking trail starts in Hohenwarth and leads to the Hohenbogen service hut, which is located next to the Kohlriegel. The path first crosses the Regen river, then leads through Oberzettling and Unterzettling and enters the forest on the ascent to the Hohenbogen Diensthütte. The way back is of course the same way.
