The Hohenwarther Bankerlweg is a joint project of the "Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park" and the Hohenwarth community. 9 unconventionally designed benches, made by Florian Berlinger, invite you to linger and read. The starting point of the approx. 3.8 km long circular route is the tourist information center in Hohenwarth and leads through a scenic area of Hohenwarth. A small plate with a number and QR code is attached to each bank. Stories from Hohenwarth and the Bavarian Forest that are assigned to each individual bank can be read in this brochure or accessed via a QR code on a smartphone. At the fire station, cross the main street and stay on Hudlacher Straße. After about 500 meters you leave Hudlacher Straße to the right into Haselmühlstraße. You leave this after about 150 meters by turning straight ahead into the Bürgermeister-Mühlbauer-Weg. Now you stay on the signposted hiking trail. Cross a small brook and follow the markings until you reach the asphalt road in the Blumenau district and Blumenauer Straße. After about 500 meters you come to Kötztinger Straße, which you have to cross. Now follow the road to the right and you will soon come to our starting point in Hohenwarth.
