The panoramic circular hike begins in Sachrang at the Geigelstein parking lot and leads along the Ackerwaldweg into the Geigelstein nature reserve up to the Geigelstein itself, which lies at 1808 m above sea level. The view from the summit cross extends over Lake Chiemsee in the north to the rugged peaks of the Kaiser Mountains in the south. The ascent is long and requires surefootedness.
