Popular circular hiking trail in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria.
From the starting point in Radling, turn off onto the "Moosweg". The "Radlinger Moor" natural monument and biotope is on the right-hand side of the path. Continue over the Kühberg, where you meet the Sd 2 hiking trail. You only stay on this path for a short time. Then immediately turn right down the forest path towards Rothbachaue, where you meet the Sd2 again. Follow the signposts to Hötzing, where an old farmstead awaits. Here you can stop for refreshments in the beautiful beer garden with an old wooden bowling alley. Via the Stations of the Cross and past the forest chapel, you reach Penting. In the centre of the village there is the traditional Gasthaus Luger and a playground. Turn left along the Pentinger Bach stream on the former district road CHA 1 to the sports field. Turn into the road "Zum Pfahlkreuz" and you will be led to the Pfahl, an impressive 150 km long quartz rock. Pass the Pfahlkreuz, a rest area at the Pfahl with an adventure playground including a Pfahl dragon and a stone castle to reach Pfahlhäuser. Afterwards, you pass another small section of the pile. The wild and romantic Pfahlsee lake lies along the way before you take the tarmac road towards Radling to the starting point.
