Popular hike in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria.
From the starting point at the raft harbour, walk along the Regen towards the car park, past the outdoor pool and straight on to the green area where you branch off. On an idyllic trail, always along the Regen, you reach Altenstadt. Pass through the village to the Galgenberg. Here you will find the "Schwedenschanze" natural monument with ramparts, which is evidence of the first settlement of Cham. You should also enjoy the wonderful view of the Regental valley and the Bavarian Forest mountains. The route continues towards Kammerdorf. Before the settlement, keep to the right and go through the railway subway, then follow the Chambtal cycle path. In Kammerdorf, you have the opportunity to take a break (refreshment stop) before continuing along the Chambtal cycle path for a short distance. At the next railway subway, the path branches off to the north. Past the sports field, the markings point you through the settlement and the wooded area on the Hetzenberg, where you come across the spa clinic. Via Klinikstraße, you finally reach the centre of Windischbergerdorf, the destination of this hiking trail. Here you can join the Ch2 hiking trail or recover from the hike before returning along the same route.

- Cham
- Schwedenschanze natural monument
