From Rathen to the Polenztal loop

This hike can start in the spa town of Rathen at the train station. Then there is a ferry ride to the other side of the Elbe where you can start hiking (note prices and times). At the Grünbach it goes in the direction of the Polenztal. The path runs along the river of the same name through the beautiful valley to the Pension and Gasthaus Polenztal. If you want to stop by, you have the opportunity here. From there, the route follows the Schindergraben including the river of the same name. It goes steadily uphill until the route leads back to the starting point, starting on the Halbenweg, with great views and beautiful vantage points.
