Pressnitztal bicycle trail

Family-friendly bike tour in the Erzgebirge/Vogtland Nature Park, Saxony. The 24 km long Pressnitztal cycle path begins in Joehstadt in the Ore Mountains/Vogtland Nature Park and leads through the beautiful Pressnitz valley to Selva. Here there is a connection to the Zschopautal cycle path. Public roads are avoided as much as possible. Instead, you cycle sometimes on forest roads, sometimes on the route of the former narrow-gauge railway. On the way, all sorts of relics of the area's significant railway history await. Detours can also be made, for example to the Kreuzkapelle in Mauersberg. The Pressnitztal cycle path is well signposted throughout and is also suitable for children.
