Popular loop trail in the Erzgebirge/Vogtland Nature Park, Saxony. This route around the Poehlberg begins in Annaberg-Buchholz (a short walk from the train station if you arrive by public transport). Short and family-friendly loop in Bärenstein, Saxony. A beautiful loop around the Cranzahl reservoir. The dam is used to supply drinking water to Annaberg-Buchholz and the surrounding area. An accessible path (500 metres) leads over the dam. Swimming and recreational sports are not permitted in the reservoir, but the wonderful forest air and the view of the dam on this loop can be enjoyed. The start is at the car park in Rosenstraße. The route starts in Ostrov at the Ostrov hotel. The route heads west from the Ostrov and much of it runs along the border with Germany. The route leads through Krušné Mountains above the towns of Krupka, Dubí, Osek, Litvínov and many others. The road also leads around two large dams, which are Fláje and Přísečnice. The end of the route is at the ski resort Klínovec.
