This route leads around the Großer Winterberg in the core area of Saxon Switzerland. However, many other highlights of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains are to be admired. Magnificent views, narrow paths, and wild sandstone formations are not uncommon here. The loop leads over the small Winterberg, past the small Bärenhorn, the Bärfangkanzel, the armory, and much more. The start and end point is at the Grossen Winterberg. From there, it is downhill or relatively flat.
