The circular trail follows the track of the 55th Wilhelm - Dieckmann - hike of the PSV Elbe Dresden eV The start and finish point is in Schmilka. It first goes up to the Winterberg, the Katzenstein and along the Hickelshöhle. This hike leads around and through the picturesque Saxon Switzerland via Dreiwinkelgrund, Räumichtmühle and Winterbergwaechter. It starts from the paid parking lot or the bus stop in Schmilka on the Elbe. The hike begins with a steep ascent over the mountain trail to the Großer Winterberg. As the name suggests, there are a few steps and many wooden stairs to be climbed. Along the tour there are more sections of stairs, which is why sure-footedness and a head for heights are required and sturdy shoes are highly recommended.
