Through Lonely Forests to Rocky Viewing Platforms

Official hiking route to the viewing platform Saxon Switzerland National Park, Saxony. As the name suggests, this route is perfect for those seeking tranquility. The varied hike leads along easy forest paths and beautiful narrow paths. In addition, the route is not overcrowded. It goes to three of the smallest mesas. The view from there over the beautiful forest and rocky landscape is magnificent. It starts from the parking lot in Cunnersdorf. There is also a bus going there. From there it goes up to the first highlight of the tour - the Spitzenstein viewpoint. In addition to the magnificent view, there is also a bivouac site that can only be used with prior registration. Continue on the root path to the charming Neuteich. From there, wing M leads on to the next highlights - first the Schneeberg view and finally on to the Lampertstein with an incredible view. On a good day you can even see the Königstein Fortress. Descending back to wing M until you reach the Neuteich and turn onto the Pechweg. The Pechweg leads to the third summit - the Katzfels. A few iron steps lead up to 474 meters where a stone cat figure, a covered picnic bench and a magnificent view await. Before returning to the starting point, you pass one last great vantage point including a little scrambling adventure - the Signalaussicht.
