The hiking trail starts from the Farrenwiese car park with a fairly steep climb to the Himmelspforte and the Winterkirchel, followed by an equally steep descent to the Grünbrunnen meadows outside of Erfweiler. It is easy to continue to the Erfweiler waterfall and the Eibach spring. On the way back there is a stop at the "Dicke Eiche" hiking hostel.
