Popular premium hiking trail in the Palatinate Forest Nature Park, Rhineland-Palatinate.
This route is a certified premium hiking trail. As the name suggests, there are all kinds of streams, springs, ponds and fountains along the route. You also pass many bizarre sandstone rocks that accompany you along the route.
The hike begins in Fischbach am Dahn. There the car can be parked near the starting point or you can travel directly by bus. Only a few meters after the beginning there is the possibility to visit the treetop path or the lookout tower. Typical for the Palatinate Forest, it goes up and down through the Spießbach valley, Ceiling valley and finally to the Rossbach, the course of which is followed to the end. From there it goes uphill in the direction of the Kleiner and Großer Mückenkopf. There you can enjoy the wonderful view before you go downhill and back to the village through the wonderful Wolfsaegertal.
