Mountainbikepark Pfälzerwald - Einsteigerstrecke - Münchweiler/Rodalb

Official GPS track of the Pfälzerwald mountain bike park Beginners and all bikers who want to take it a little easier will get their money's worth on the beginners' tour in Gräfensteinerland. The tour starts at the train station in Münchweiler. This can also be reached via the cycle path from the Rodalben exit portal - for an extra portion of kilometers. From Münchweiler, you literally glide down to Hinterweidenthal. From there, the route climbs steadily along an easy road through the Zieglertal valley up to the parking lot at Gräfenstein Castle. It is worth stopping there to visit the ruins of the Staufer castle. From the castle's heptagonal tower, you can enjoy the distant view over endless forests and far into the French Northern Vosges. Northern Vosges. Back at the parking lot, the route quickly descends to Merzalben and along forest paths, past Galloway cattle that keep the meadow valley clear, back to the starting point. This route is also suitable for kids with some touring experience.
