Felsenwald Trail

Varied premium hiking trail in the Palatinate Forest, Rhineland-Palatinate. In the forests you will always come across interesting rock formations. The circular hike starts at the ice pond, which is located on Landauer Straße near the municipal hospital. From there it goes to the anvil rock and on to the "Platte" parking lot. Here you follow the sign towards Waldhaus Starkenbrunnen on a natural path gently downhill and once you have arrived in the valley, take number 5. A slightly steeper incline leads to the Kanzelfelsen, a rock formation. After the descent into the valley, you can take a break at the Starkenbrunnen forest house, if open. Follow the red and yellow bar and you will come across the Forsthaus Beckenhof with its wide range of restaurants. From there, the forest path turns into a path and you get to the striking Felsentor. Further on at a crossroads there is a loop in a northerly direction. Here you choose the small slightly ascending nature trail. This round leads to impressive rocks, the Luitpoldfelsen, Gebrucher Felsen and the Schillerwand. Before descending into the Glastal, the path makes a detour in a westerly direction. Following the red Nordic Walking markings, you return to the already known path at the level of the Luitpoldfelsen. You pass the Waltharibrünnchen, a spring, and reach the ice pond again over the anvil rock.
