Stage 5 of the "Palatinate Forest Path" long-distance hiking trail, Rhineland-Palatinate.
This is the fifth stage of the certified quality path "Palatinate Forest Path", which leads from Kaiserslautern through the Palatinate Forest to the German Wine Gate in Schweigen-Rechtenbach. The start of the route is at the Hilschberghaus near Rodalben. Here you first follow the well-known quality path "Rodalber Felsenwanderweg". In addition to the impressive rock formations along that cliff hiking trail, it is above all the wonderful, untouched forest landscapes that make this stage of the Palatinate Forest Path a very special one.
There are places to stay overnight and restaurants in Merzalben, but there are also bus connections if you prefer to spend the night in one of the larger surrounding towns.
