This is a relaxed hike south of Daun. From the starting point near the Dorint holiday complex, you hike into the Dauner Maare nature reserve (dogs must stay on a leash here and the paths must not be left). Over the Mäuseberg it goes around the Gemündener Maar, the northeasternmost of the three Dauner Maars. In summer it is worthwhile to pack your bathing gear and take a refreshing break in the natural outdoor pool on the Gemündener Maar.
