Wonderful loop in the Eifel, Rhineland-Palatinate.
A varied loop around the beautiful Eifel town of Daun. A highlight is the Gemünden maar, one of the three famous "Eifel Augen" ("Eifel eyes"). These lakes were formed by volcanic activity and today create a very special landscape. Here at the smallest of the three maars, there is a swimming pool with boat hire so that a dive into this natural paradise is possible in the hotter summer months.
There are many cafés and restaurants in the old town centre. The starting point is at the car park in the northern part of the town centre.
