Stage 5 of the "Sintfeld-Höhenweg" long-distance hiking trail, North Rhine-Westphalia.
A varied loop in the southern Paderborn region - that is the approximately 145 km long Sintfeld Höhenweg. The fifth stage of the Sintfeld-Höhenweg begins in the tranquil Blankenrode and ends in the climatic and Kneipp spa town of Bad Wünnenberg. Probably the most extraordinary highlight of this hike are the former lead mines, which are now under nature protection. If you keep your eyes open, you can discover the "Blue Flower of Blankenrode", a strictly protected calamine flower that only grows here.
