Varied circular route from Rheine. This varied loop starts in Rheine and combines nature experiences with historical highlights. The route first leads to the Bentlager Dreiklang, where the Salinenpark with its historic salt works and the Bentlage monastery are surrounded by green meadows. The route continues through sparse forests and across the Ems towards Hörstel. A special stop is the Kunsthaus Kloster Gravenhorst, which combines art and history and invites you to take a break in the park. The Nassen Dreieck, where the Mittelland Canal and Dortmund-Ems Canal meet, is a wonderful place to watch ships. The way back leads past the woods of Surenburg Castle and finally back to the city along the banks of the Ems.
