From the car park in Hasenfeld (at weekends without a parking disc, otherwise 2 hours) take the road to the left down past the houses to the Seehof pier of the Rursee fleet. Now it goes along the lake, where the Rursee-Marathon takes place. At the second "fjord" it then goes right up to Hubertushöhe. Here you have a great view over the lake. Just a few steps further is the next beautiful vantage point. Now it goes around Schmidt, past a rest area and over the windy heights of Schmidt. A forest path follows, which can become quite muddy when wet. The route is well signposted throughout. There are delicious rest stops at the starting point and in Schmidt.
