Beautiful, wild loop in the Eifel Nature Park, North Rhine-Westphalia.
The last part of the route, between Schwammenauel and Scheidbaum, runs a lot off the beaten track, both on beaten paths and straight through the forest. You should be aware of the risk, have appropriate clothing, footwear and provisions with you. Alternatively, you can hike back from Schwammenauel on the way there and then get back to the starting point via Schmidt. On the way there are many beautiful viewpoints and wonderful nature.
