A beautiful loop in the direction of the Eckertalsperre and then further through the beautiful Ilse valley. Passing the Heinrich Heine memorial stone and the Ilse Falls, it goes via the ranger station at the Scharfenstein back to the Eckertalsperre. There is parking at the starting point. There is a self-service snack bar in the ranger station.
