This beautiful circular route starts at the car park in Falkenstein. It follows narrow and sometimes steep paths towards Döngesberg and continues over the ring wall up to the Altkönig. The descent to Fuchstanz follows a steep but not too long path. The popular forest inn is open in summer and winter (Thursday and Friday 10 am to 5 pm in fine weather, Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 5 pm, see tips).
If out and about in summer, tasty snacks might be found along the way (blueberries and wild raspberries). Despite the relatively short distance, the panoramic hike should not be underestimated.
