Beautiful winter hike in the Grunewald forest in Berlin.
A great hike, especially in winter, but the tour is also worthwhile at any other time of year. The hike is very close to a popular dog-walking area, but dogs must be kept on a lead on the southern part of the Krumme Lanke and Schlachtensee. The route passes through several nature reserves and along the marvellous chain of lakes in the Grunewald forest.
It is possible to stop off at the "Fischerhütte" along the way.
Nikolassee S-Bahn station is at the end of the walk, so the journey can be continued by public transport.
