This historic route follows the entire former borderline of West Berlin and offers an in-depth journey through the remains of a divided city. The tour gives an overview of Berlin's transformation, passing preserved watchtowers, memorial steles and the famous East Side Gallery. The route is completely flat and alternates with sections of green forest along the Havel. The route is the venue for the annual "100MeilenBerlin" run, which is held to commemorate the victims of the Berlin Wall.
