The start is in beautiful Walchensee. The destination is the Heimgartenhütte, which is open in the summer season (see tips). From there, either continue to the surrounding peaks or take the same route back down to the starting point.
There are also refreshment stops on the shores of the lake to round off the day after the hike.
The route is marked with red-white-red and the number 445.
