The quiet Enningalm is located in the Ammergau Alps between the summits Hirschbichl and Feldkopf. From the parking lot at Pflegersee you start the hike on a wide forest path, which is also ideal for mountain bike tours.

Starting from Pflegersee on a forest path, it is always well signposted in the direction of Gießenbachalm. But you do not always have to follow the road, there are old, official ways between the turns. The last time the forest crossing steeply uphill on a forest road, you can see on the saddle above a nice way left hand of the mountain path towards the Brünstlkopf. The summit cross does NOT mark the highest point. There it is very rocky and provided with high kicks, one should consider that one is just on a red marked path and remains. Beautiful view of the Wetterstein massif and the Ammergebirge. On the 'real' Brünstlkopf is a sign tree, you go through an old gate straight on over the mountain pine ridge direction Großer Zunderkopf and from there the ridge following the highest point, the Vorderen Felderkopf. Then the easy descent begins over a fenced pasture, trackless you should hold over these on the left edge to the firs. One finds, where the forest again becomes significantly denser a large fir tree with huge red dot and from there it's not difficult to Enning-Alm. From this passage to the starting point, it is always muddy and wet, but everything manageable. The Enning Alm is very neat and invites you to linger. At their open for bikers way, it goes in the end in the avalanche deforestation in the direction of Garmisch, all well signposted. The Pflegersee is later called again. It is now always well signposted through great forest paths (trail no F5) over the Sulzgraben, right hand always the Kramerspitze and the king stand in view, downhill to the Pflegersee back. It takes a little stamina and sure-footedness, but the view is always great.
