This Transalp MTB route starts in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany and ends in Torbole on Lake Garda in Italy. It stretches for almost 360 km and is made up of 6 segments crossing magnificent landscapes of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and finally Italy. This route is the 1st segment of the “Transalp Garmisch – Torbole” and starts in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria. It follows the cycle path along the Loisach river, crossing the border and continuing in Tyrol (Austria) reaching Ehrwald. The climb begins towards the famous Fernpass (1216m), the highest point of this segment and an important crossing point. The descent to Imst is surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Lechtal Alps and the Mieminger Range.
