Popular hike in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria. From Waldschmidtplatz you walk along Marktstraße, down Großaigner Straße, and turn left before the Großaigner Bridge to the Heuhofermühle. Immediately in front of the Heuhofermühle hike to the right over a footbridge and come back to a tar road, on which the hiking trail continues to the left. You always stay on this road and enter a wooded area via a dirt road. You walk through this part of the forest and after approx. 1 km you come back outside. After about 200 m you go straight ahead again into a forest, where you can take a rest on the benches by the Schöneichenkapelle. Continuing on this forest path you come to the county road that leads left to Gaishof. In Gaishof, turn right and after approx. 1.5 km you will reach the Gaishof / Maxov border crossing. The Czech hiking trails can be explored from here. Highlights of the hike: - Heuhofermühle - Schöneichenkapelle - Gaishof - Gaishof / Maxov border crossing
