From the PP at the motorway exit Eschenlohe (625m) direction Höllenstein (630m). There, shortly before the right direction Ettaler Mandl. Always follow the signs. After about 7km right high part in the forest, first Karrenweg, later narrow trail. You land near Bärenbadflecken. From there, a detour to Soile Alm (1325m). From there on the forest road to Oberammergau, at 1070m turn right into the trail into Lainetal. In Oberammergau along the Kaserenmauer along and turn left into the trail along the B23, follow this up to the Ettaler Höhenweg. In Ettal (880m) cross the B23 and turn left onto the path towards Notkarspitze. At the first branch (900m) turn left into the forest and the Giessenbach (820m). You come to a forest road (Alte Bergstrasse / Alte Ettaler Strasse), which leads straight down to Oberau (700m) down. In Oberau turn left into the Mühlstrasse and follow this to the football field and turn there towards Loisachblick. Soon you reach the forest road to Höllenstein and the asphalt road to Eschenlohe.
