Panoramic MTB tour in the Allgäu, Bavaria.
The tour starts between Fischen and Au at a car park right next to the festival hall. It is possible to take the railway to Fischen.
It goes along the Iller towards Oberstdorf, shortly before the source of the Iller, turn left over the bridge, continue right on the cycle path to Oberstdorf and at the end of the cycle path turn left following the signpost to the Wallraffweg. Pass the Cafe Breitenberg and continue steadily uphill. After passing the Gaisalp chapel, the path climbs briefly up to the Gaisalpe. The rout then returns via the road to Reichenbach or via the Stitzel back to Fischen.
It is nice to stop for refreshments at the Gaisalpe mountain inn.
