This fascinating route leads to a popular hiking area in the Bavarian foothills of the Alps. It is quite demanding, often requires sure-footedness and sometimes a head for heights - in return spectacular views between Lake Kochel and Lake Walchen can be expected! Start is at the parking lot between Schlehdorf and Raut, a somewhat hidden ascent that is not so crowded is used. So it goes over the pioneer path with partly romantic views to the well-known Herzogstand, a former ducal hunting ground. It is also possible to stop at the local hut before enjoying further fantastic views on the way back via the Jocher Höhenweg!
