This route is a great, somewhat more challenging mountain hike. Up to the Bodenschneidhaus, the way is relatively easy and mainly leads along wide driveways or smaller forest paths.
South of the Bodenschneidhaus, a great place to stop for refreshments, a stony trail begins, especially in the lower part, with short, rocky, steep steps to the summit. The entrance starts with a small rope-secured traverse; you must climb a short gully at the summit. The trail is not recommended in wet conditions, as it can be muddy and slippery. Surefootedness and good shoes are necessary.
From the highest point is a magnificent view of Lake Tegernsee, the mountains of the Mangfallgebirge, and the Karwendel.
