This challenging route leads into the Rotwand nature reserve and starts at the Panorama restaurant, which can be reached by cable car. Beautiful mountain panoramas accompany the ascent to the summit of the Rotwand, one of Munich's most popular and easiest to climb local mountains. The charming landscape here is very varied. Magnificent views of lush alpine landscapes inspire the hiker's heart as well as the almost alpine towering Ruchenköpfe. The highlight, however, is the fairytale-like, deep green shimmering Soinlake in the Mangfall mountains that frames it - the view there resembles a view of a painting, of which it is often the motif.
