The trail starts at the valley station of the Belchen cable car near Aitern and opens up the sunny high pastures and rugged rock formations of the Belchen massif. The route runs along a varied mix of narrow ridge paths, winding meadow paths, and shady mixed mountain forests. One highlight is the Heideckfelsen, a striking vantage point offering spectacular views over the Münstertal valley to the snow-capped peaks of the Swiss Alps and the Vosges mountains.
