Idyllic loop in the Schaalsee biosphere reserve, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. This short loop starts in Zarrentin, at the car park right next to the monastery. It explores the area north of the town, with the Kirchensee lake on one side and Schaalsee lake on the other. Most of the trail leads through forest. The tour explores the western side of Lake Schaalsee and leads along the shore in places, but also through open fields and meadows a little further away from the lake.
