The tour explores the western side of Lake Schaalsee and leads along the shore in places, but also through open fields and meadows a little further away from the lake.
The start is at the car park right next to the Pahlhuus, the information centre of the biosphere reserve. Bikes can be hired from the pavilion behind the Pahlhuus! The opening hours are Friday to Sunday between 10 am and 5 pm.
There are refreshment stops in Zarrentin.
