Idyllic loop in the Schaalsee biosphere reserve, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
This short loop starts in Zarrentin, at the car park right next to the monastery. It explores the area north of the town, with the Kirchensee lake on one side and Schaalsee lake on the other. Most of the trail leads through forest. A quick way to get out into nature and still stay close to Zarrentin.
There is a restaurant further south of the starting point for a cosy stop-off after the tour.
