Panoramic loop trail on Ruegen, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. This loop trail in northern Ruegen is a forest hike with maritime flair. From Glowe you hike through the forest, often right along the Grosser Jasmunder Bodden, to the Forsthaus Gelm. Here you turn to the east (caution when crossing the country road). The route begins at the parking lot between Glowe and Juliusruh. It leads south and then turns onto a path that lies directly on the large Jasmunder Bodden. Finally it reaches Glowe and leads to the beach (Baltic Sea). The remaining ~ 4km are on sand. This wide isthmus separates the northern part of Rügen from the eastern part. It is heavily forested and has beaches on both sides.
