Best trails near Frankenkammer

A classic that is hidden in the forest of the Hersbrucker Alb. The tour is ideal to get in the mood for the via ferrata season, if you do not climb the difficult passages, the via ferrata is classified as moderately difficult (C). Short, very scenic circular hiking trail on the “Old Village Road” to the cemetery. Here right up to the curbstone. Past the mountain rescue hut and along the foot of the Black Brand (with Höhenglücksteig), the path meanders through shady mixed forest to the Noristörle. A few minutes back the same way, then left downhill to reach a high valley with a beautiful view of the rocks. This scenic path ends past fields and meadows after the Mittelbergwand in Hirschbach.
