Start is at the Pfäffingen train station. From there it goes through orchards and forest to the disused Wendelsheim quarry. Now a part of the Wendelsheim nature trail leads through the middle of the remains of the exposed sandstone until, after a short time, you reach the Märchensee, which is covered by duckweed.
