Pfäffingen - Märchensee - Wurmlinger Kapelle - Tübingen

Start is at the Pfäffingen train station. From there it goes through orchards and forest to the disused Wendelsheim quarry. Now a part of the Wendelsheim nature trail leads through the middle of the remains of the exposed sandstone until, after a short time, you reach the Märchensee, which is covered by duckweed. It continues through the forest and orchards to Wurmlingen. From there you climb up to the Wurmlinger Chapel, from where you have a beautiful view of the Neckar and Ammer valleys. In summer the chapel can also be visited on Sundays. Now follow the premium trail Hirschauer Spitzbergwegle for a while. It leads with a beautiful view into the Neckar valley on the edge of the NSG Hirschauer Berg past dry stone walls and grasslands. Then you follow the forest roads to Tübingen. The path leads through the Tübingen castle courtyard into the city center and to the train station, where you can take the Ammertal Railway back to the starting point.
