With the Great Escarpment weaving through this semi-desert area of South Africa, Karoo National Park is a striking landscape. Visitors can drive through portions of the park, taking in the landscape and the plentiful wildlife. Black rhinoceros, zebra, springbok, lions, buffalo, and a myriad of birds all inhabit this park. The park also offers paths for walking and mountain biking. Some visitors may also choose to go on a guided game drive through the park.
