Best forest trails in Naturschutzgebiet Bodetal, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany

The White Hart is a great vantage point in Treseburg, located about 150 meters above the Bodetal. From here you have an excellent view over the valley to the Brocken. The observation tower Prinzensicht (stamping point 70) is another viewpoint that can be found near the Hexentanzplaazes. From here you can also look over the Bodetal. On the opposite side of the valley you can see a cross, which was built in honor of the fallen in World War Freiherr Hellmuth to Bibra.Show more

Start at the Hexentanzplatz in Thale. This is a very beautiful valley hike along the Bode on rocky ground. The descent to the valley station is very rocky and relatively steep. If necessary, you can use the side road into the valley or the cable car for 3 euros (downhill). You can also use the Bodetal for the way back from Treseburg - it is much nicer than the "forest path hike" from Treseburg to the Hexentanzplatz (but then you have fewer views).
