Popular cycle marathon on the Weser, Lower Saxony. This is the route of the annual road cycling event "Die Große Weserrunde". The route starts at the Weseranger in Rinteln. Rinteln railway station is also nearby, making it easy to travel to the event by train. Popular hiking event in the Weserbergland Nature Park, Lower Saxony. This is the route of the mega-march Weserbergland, a 100 km long route, which is completed once a year by ambitious hikers within 24 hours on foot.
