This is a beautiful cycle route that goes from Basel, Switzerland to Rheinfelden, Germany along the Rhine River banks. There are many rest areas along the way and opportunities to stop for food and swimming. A small train connects several neighborhoods on the path so this route and be shortened at will.

From Lörrach via Inzingen and Degerrfelden to Rheinfelden and on the Swiss side through Rheinfelden to Basel. The route follows the main road through Kaiseraugst and Biersfelden past the large chemical and pharmaceutical plants. Back on the other side of the Rhine, it becomes quieter again along the meadow in Riehen.

This trail begins in Basel at the train station and then leads directly to the banks of the consistently present Rhine.
