Best trails in Point Nepean National Park

This route will take you through Nepean Point National Park, an area of natural beauty and rugged coastlines. The coastline is thought to be one of the most treacherous in Victoria, with an estimated 130 shipwrecks lying here. This walking track starts at the Point Nepean Visitor Centre car park, and follows Butlers Track and Wilsons Folly through Moonah woodland and native coastal grasslands out to the London Bridge Lookout. This is a linking track for connecting the Point Nepean National Park with the Mornington Peninsula National Park, and is also a popular extension of the Cape Schanck coastal walk.

Cehviot Hill is the highest point in the park, offering superb panoramic vistas of Bass Strait and Port Phillip Bay. This spot is famous for Cheviot Beach below, where former Prime Minister Harold Holt disappeared back in 1967 – there's even a memorial nearby.
