The park contains remnant wet sclerophyll and temperate rainforest with diverse flora and fauna that was once widespread across south-eastern Australia. There is a great network of tracks and facilities with picnic areas, making the park ideal for bushwalking and bird watching. The higher ridges of Morwell National Park are also a great vantage point for taking in the views across the Latrobe Valley.
