Good conditionsGood viewsEasy to parkBathrooms available

We tackled it anti clockwise heading up the mammoth incline first. Be prepared for a little gravelley and slippery heading up the second half of the incline. Such diverse scenery throughout the loop. Water in Lake Eildon is quiet low so we were able to walk along the dry watered which was a little prehistoric.

Good viewsNot crowded

Pretty steep climb up to Blowhard at the start, if going clockwise. If you are not fit this will test you out!. Most of the walk you can see Lake Eildon through the trees and in a few places expanded views. Be warned March flies are present in huge numbers at least when I did it in Nov 24!
